Susan Hood is a self-taught artist. As a child, she moved from rural Michigan to the suburbs of Southern California. Instilling in her a great desire to spend as much time in the wilderness as possible. Documenting the experience in acrylic on canvas, whether the subject is the mountains, the desert, or the ocean. Often her focal point is the abstraction of water and it’s effect on the surrounding land. Her hope is that you pause in the beauty and solitude of her work.
